    Tordado Impact vs Timer Grenades

Airsoft innovations was nice enough to send me a new impact and timer grenade to check out. I played with them both a bit in my yard and they both have good and bad points. but both are great overall. If I had to pick one in Korea I would take the timer as there is so much brush that it's hard to get a good impact to set it off.

    Pros and Cons of Both:
    + Excellent coverage
+ Easy to reload and use
    + Very sturdy
    + 360 spread is great
+ comes in bright colors and easy to find in grass
+ no parts to lose (unless you have spoon kit)
    - Needs propane, HFC is useless
    - If it goes off in grass or brush it can ruin it's spin and spread effect and block most of the bbs
    - 1 use per round
    - Remember where you throw it!

    Timer Grenade specifics:
+ Can be cooked off and thrown for an airburst effect
+ 1.5 sec mode is awesome for room clearing
    + Works anywhere
    - Timer needs to be well maintained in order to have an accurate fuse.
    - Timing is dependent on air temperature and can be hard to time for airburst
    - 1.5s mode is brutal since you have to pull pin and throw in that time, good only for room clearing or on colder days when delay is longer.
    - Useless in the cold

    Impact Grenade Specifics:
+ Goes off instantly on impact so no more fuse worries
+ Won't go off with shaking, only impact
+ You can keep it with the pin out and just throw when you need (my fav)
+ Won't bounce and roll before going off, instant effect
    - When you reset the fuse there are a lot of little parts
    - Won't go off in the grass some times
    - Pin is hard to use

Just have to remember to put the timing plug IN before you pull the pin. Left it out too many times...
