ASK is the first airsoft site based in South Korea for non Korean players. We started July 2008 and have a diverse roster of players coming from Canada, America, the Philippines, New Zealand, Australia, Mongolia and more. Airsoft is quite popular in Korea and there are a lot of well established Korean teams playing regularly on Sundays all around Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Incheon. Our mission is to give expat airsofters access to regular games, as part of an organised group. ASK is always actively seeking new members and players, so if you'd like to give airsoft a go and find out how exciting this game really is, contact us to get involved. Everyone is welcome.
MissionIt is the enduring mission of this site to provide members with access to games involving Korean teams and to provide exciting home ground games that international Airsofters can appreciate.
Age LimitDue to nature of the game, and the sometimes hazardous nature of the playing fields, all players must be over the age of 16 yrs old with parental consent, or 18 yrs without. If players are younger they may play if they are accompanied by a 'playing' guardian.
What is Airsoft?
Airsoft is a combat sport that had its beginnings in Japan. And from there has spread throughout North America, Eastern Europe, the UK, the Philippines and Korea - and is growing rapidly into a global pastime for the perennial weekend warrior. The primary weapon used in games is the Automatic Electric Gun or 'AEG' for short.
These guns fire 6mm plastic 'BBs' at speeds ranging from 280 feet per second to over 700 feet per second. The limit for most games in Korea is 300fps but international field limits usually range from 400 to 550fps for outdoor games and 330 to 350fps for CQB or close quarter battles. At 400fps you'll feel a nice sting if hit but at 300fps the feeling is negligible. While many players would prefer some consequence to being hit, Korean players prefer the relative saftey that low velocities provide.

AEGs almost perfectly replicate the size, weight and feel of real life firearms. This 'reality factor', so much a part of the game's appeal, also leads to one of Airsoft's greatest challenges in many countries like Germany and Australia. The lack of legal recognition, born out of a fear of the misuse of the 'replica' firearm, hamstrings many would be airsofters around the globe.
For those of us lucky enough to reside in countries that allow Airsoft to be played legally most games take place in either a forest setting or in abandoned urban areas that provide an excellent opportunity for realistic simulated combat. As for the scenarios- the Airsoft experience could be summed up with the word most associated with the sport - MILSIM - or military simulation. In Korea however, milsim tactical missions tend to take back seat to the more widely played 'deathmatch' - where teams simply start at opposing ends of the field and try to eliminate each other. Teamwork and appropriate gear are a must to avoid being wiped out. This brings us to another part of the Airsoft experience - the gear.

Airsoft players, unlike paintballers, realize that half the fun of simulated combat is getting fully into character. If you attend a game the first thing that will strike you is how completely over the top Airsofters are. To say Airsofters put a lot of effort and money into their uniforms and gear is an understatement. They are realistic and sometimes even real in every detail from the boots to the helmet, the vest, the radio, the gloves and the unit patches stuck on their arms. Not to mention the weapons which, apart from the AEGs, include hand guns, shot guns, sniper rifles, mini guns, grenades and grenade launches - all firing those 6mm .2gram BB's or heavier and either gas, electric or spring powered.

The game is addictive fun, a good work out and team oriented. If you'd like to learn more about AirsoftKorea and the Ghosts please contact us via this website and hopefully we'll see you at a game.

5. Ranting is prohibited.A rant is a post which is long-winded, redundant and filled with angry, non-constructive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community, but rants are disruptive and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise, clear manner and avoid going off on rambling tangents.
6. Personal attacks are prohibited.Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts which are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated. Teams, Team Members and other players are cautioned to avoid allowing an on field dispute to continue on the forums. Threats will not be tolerated.
7. Trolling is prohibited.Trolling is the word used to describe a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting the members of the community. Posts of this nature are disruptive and do not convey a friendly attitude. These posts will be delted by the staff and a warning will result.

11. Redundant threads. As a courtesy to others before beginning a new thread, please search to see if an active thread on that topic has already been established. If so, place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forum needlessly, and many good ideas may be lost. Keep discussions about one topic to one thread only. Take the time to search, as many times the info can be found more quickly than waiting on a reply.
12. "Newbie" bashing will not be tolerated, particularly in the Newbie Tank.New forum members are encouraged to use, but not restricted to, the Newbie Tank. The Newbie Tank is specifically designed to provide a platform for those who are new to the ASK community to ask questions and learn more about the game. Regular forum users are encouraged to be helpful and courteous in their responses. All flames will be automatically deleted and the poster may be warned or permanently barred from future forum use. The answers to many new players' questions may be found in the ASK FAQ and we encourage our players to seek information there before posing questions on the boards.

16. Avoid unnecessary nested quotes.Any more than two (2) quotes nested in a post are excessive. (If you want a topic history, scroll up)
17. User/moderator disputes may be arbitrated by forum administrators. The moderators are here to make everyone's visit more enjoyable and to be helpful, so if you experience any problems with abusive users, please tell a moderator. Treat others as you expect to be treated. Do not argue with the enforcement of these guidelines. If a Moderator or Admin tells you to comply with one of these rules, do so. If you argue, you'll be warned. Keep it up, and you'll be banned for an undisclosed amount of time and very likely, permanently. For questions, you may PM one of the moderators in a polite and civilized manner. To discuss any other problems or concerns, please PM a Site Admin.
18. Avoid excessive use of emoticons and the CAPS LOCK key.Typing in capital letters on the Internet denotes shouting and moreover can be annoying to read for forum users. Shouting is not necessary to make a reasonable point. Excessive emoticons only serve to clutter up the forums, while not offering additional useful information.
19. Search first. Many questions you may have will have already been answered. The forums have a search feature to help you find what you need. This is also true of other Airsoft sites as well as using a search engine like Google where a wealth of knowledge exists for many of the products currently available. Helping yourself will allow you to learn much more quickly and completely rather than having information spoon-fed to you. In addition, you'll likely get your answers more quickly than depending on someone to reply.
20. ASK does not condone or support "renegade" airsoft."Renegade" play is when someone starts playing airsoft where they should not be. ASK supports and encourages only safe and legal airsoft play. That means that if you play airsoft, you must do so on accepted fields already in use in Korea. ASK exists to provide safe fields for you to play at with other safe players per ASK rules. Do not ruin the sport for yourself and others by playing in unsafe, unsecured areas. Therefore, no discussion, advertising, or promoting of renegade locations will be permitted on the forums.
21. The Staff has the Final Say.The ASK staff has the final say on all matters. We reserve the right to edit or delete posts for violating the above rules. We also reserve the right to suspend or ban users for violations of the above rules. The ASK staff is made up of mature individuals assigned to help users, but not to be flamed or insulted. Treat ASK staff the way you expect to be treated. ASK staff decisions are not to be argued.
