Need to downgrade gun for a match.

My friend baught a jg m4 614 Le stock on evike (come check it) he got it yesterday and we are goign to a match 4 days from now. its 380-480 fps and the max fps is 400. They chrono the gun so theirs no way we can sneak it in lol anyways the reviews on evike for the gun say its around 400-415 fps out of the box. Some people say is 430. This worries me what kind of bb's would make the reading on the chrono weaker? Thanks.

You need to open the gearbox and change the spring to about m120. That should bring you to about 380-400fps. Cheating with heavier bbs isn't the way. At any rate 480fps would REALLY hurt at close range. I think you would have people complaining. Changing the velocity with heavier bbs doesn't change the total energy. They travel slower but hit harder.

ya man i need a quick reply were going tommorow i need a way we can downgrade a gun without using a new spring btw the gun shoots around 400-415 it says in the evike reviews i just want a little downgrade desperate situation here.

Get a marui reducer and replace the flash hider with that. not too many places accept them but its the fastest way. If it was me with the chrono I would just tell you to replace the spring. Another way is get a different barrel. The less precise the barrel the less velocity you get. The easiesy and fastest answer is just to replace the spring. Less than hour from start to finish with an m4.

Bit hard to describe without pictures. If you don't know what you are doing you can cause.... problems. I would take it to a shop or the team gunsmith and ask them to do it for you. Might cost a bit but it will save you much pain and time in the long run. It may be that you won't be able to use the gun this op. There is rarely flexibility in the chrono line. You are either under the line... or out. Depending on the team you play with they may allow the gun to used semi only until the spring is downgraded.

Gun chronoed well today:D well i was Sc village with my friends doing a scrim with random people i fell and my crap plastic extending stock fell of my g36k 608-8 now it looks like a scorpion >.>
