Its supposed to protect against IEDs and it has some kind of latex under garment? I think its more for show than anything else. At any rate, the dude looks like a refuge from an old SF show "Blakes 7". :p

I saw this a good while ago and it makes me laugh every time I see it. Especially the demonstrations.

I think the suit he has is for show, and perhaps even just to build interest to raise money. Maybe he is raising money to make a better version, or maybe he is just wanting money. *shrug*

Unless he has some sort of knowledge the US Government doesn't... that 'armor' looks useless, but maybe it's just an IED suit and not supposed to be bullet proof.
