Since I am in Ukraine I have picked up a new rear sight for my SVD, a real russian sling, and new night vision goggles. Is there anything anyone else wants while I am here? Sorry no tactical nukes or mail order brides.

A smallish scope? Nothing expensive or large just 3 times magnification and if possible illuminated would be nice.

Do those NVGs mount to a helmet or a rail? Pictures please.

@ kelly all scops here mount on to AK or SVD style side rails. there is a hunting store near where I am staying but very over priced.

@ George, its the helmet mounted ver used for vehicles. I am moding it to run off of a battery pack. ill go back to my uncles and take pics

It appears to me that the scope and the mount are entirely different things. The scope still uses rings to mount to the rifle. Rings which can be sourced here in Korea. What I cannot easily get is a scope. If an ak47 scope isn't expensive I can easily get the hardware to mount it... :) You can keep the mounting hardware it comes with as a spare for your rifle if you wish... all I really need is the actual scope.
