Hi

I live in South Korea and I'm a newbie
I'm curious if it's illegal to possess an airsoft in Korea though they sell it with Colour tip with power break.
Is it okay to buy a gun and upgrade that passes over 0.2j regulation rules?
I'm confused with these matters, rather I should buy an airsoft or not due to many problems such as police calls you and
later confiscates the gun and fines you. It happened to several people.

Anyways anyone wants realism to their guns by upgrading to better components which becomes more real and powerful.
So my point is, how you guys keep your guns safe from firearm's department or outside field?

There are some people who calls firearm's department or police about illegal airsoft.

(ps. sorry for my lack of language, some sentence might not be understandable. I'm studying TOEFL ( _ _ ) sry)

The rules are there as you state, but rarely enforced. The official limit in Korea is about 200fps with 0.2 gram bbs. This makes for the worlds most boring game so most airsoft guns are sold at Japanese limits.
You are extremely unlikely to be fined for owning an airsoft gun. If anything the police are curious and want to play with it.
