I copied this game idea while i was doing some internet research. What do you think?
Have you ever played Star Wars Battlefront 1 or 2? If you have not, it is a game where you try to capture enemy bases (command posts) and destroy a 250 or 300 man army, with your own.
I have made tested this game for airsoft, minus the planes and vehicles, and 300 people. It works very well, and, in my opinion, is better than all games of airsoft exept for deathmatch.
Here are the things you need:
1 1/2 foot cardboard (10 pieces, or one for every command post)
Black Marker (For Empire Emblem)
Red Marker (For Rebel Emblem)
Basically, Mark one side of the 1 1/2 foot piece cardboard with black marker, make the empire emblem on it, do the same with the red marker on the other side of the cardboard for rebels.
Bases must be placed on the battle area beforehand, preferably in clear areas where you can see them, you may or may not want to let both teams see and observe all the bases. Depends on how you want to play. That's it for preperation.
To play, one team is the empire, the other; rebels. each team gets the same number of bases(command posts).
Each team must have flipped their bases to the team that they are on, if they are rebels, they flip their base to the rebel emblem.
Each team must have a certain number of respawns. When a player gets shot, he goes to his farthest base from the enemy, touches it and goes back into battle. That is a respawn. When a player captures a base, he simply flips the base over, so his teams side is showing.
The team either eliminates all the other team's respawns, or captures all their bases, wins. Each player that has run out of respawns should sit in a designated area.
This works amazingly well with even 6 people.
Here is a chart based off my experiences with this game.
6-7 People: 4 bases, 3 respawns per player. 15 minutes
8+ People: 4 bases, 5 respawns per player. 18 minutes
12+ People: 5 bases(one unoccupied in the middle, for one team to gain), 6 respawns per player. 21 minutes
16+ People: 7 bases (if one un-occupied), 8 respawns per player. 30-40 minutes
More than 20 People: 10 bases, 10 respawns per player. 50 minutes to 60
More than 40 People: 13 bases(one un-occupied for a team to gain) 10 respawns per player. Over an hour.
