been looking around and haven't been able to really get a good answer on this.
does anyone know what the laws are regarding flying into the country with a airsoft gun in your luggage? i understand you can't have one imported in via shipping, but anyone know about going through customs? i'm assuming its the same rule, but just wanted to double check. or is it one of those russian roulette situations where you just gotta hope you don't get checked at customs?
heading stateside soon, and was planning to get some gear while i'm there, and was wondering about getting my gun there instead. this is going to largely influence how deep i plan to get into the sport.

You can't bring things back through the airport, either. You may not get searched, but there are no guarantees.

If they check your luggage you will lose the gun for sure. If you go through 'nothing to declare' you might get lucky, or you might just get yourself into trouble. Be safe and just bring in what they don't care about.

I am not sure to enter Korea.
I've been brought Chinese cheap crappy (50000) gun for my cousin to Mongolia in my luggage. The custom officer asked me about gun right after I booked.
I am not sure they let me pass cuz I was leaving Korea or any other reason. Anyway, if I were entering to KOR, I wouldn't bring.

The airlines don't make laws. It is illegal if you don't have an import license. You can't get the license, either, so don't bother asking Customs about it. If you bring it on the plane and then Customs goes through your stuff at Incheon they will fine you and sieze it. Military does go through the same Customs lines as everyone else. I've flown into Incheon at least six times and I've gone through the same Customs lines as every other foreigner. The only difference is that I don't need a visa because of my SOFA status. As for the guys who checked real weapons, Korea may not have been their final destination. You could check something through to another country that allows airsoft replicas, but then you'd have to know what their energy limits are. I wouldn't try to get away with anything. It's a five million won (USD 4500) fine.

I have made it to Italy with (powerful!) air soft guns from the U.S. several times with no problems; and I had airsofts shipped to my Country by mail from abroad with no problem whatsoever, except one time when one didn't made it from the U.K. (because the Mail Service lost the parcel, I had it re-shipped, no prob!).
Here in Italy, as long as it isn't a real firearm and has a muzzle energy under 7,5 Joules, you can import anything without a license. Hence why I'm asking the help of anybody that might procure me THIS (http://www.vvmarket.co.kr/front/php/product.php?product_no=311&main_cate_no=46&display_group=1) replica for my collection... you don't risk a thing!
PLZ HELP! :(
