Alright,

So crazy idea... what parts are possible to send into Korea?

My reasoning is after playing today I miss my 249, but do not want to pay exorberant prices for a weapon I already have. Thus it is prolly easier to buy a receiver here in Korea, and have as much of the weapon sent to me in parts and re-assemble it here.

I know scopes and receivers to not come well.

What of gear boxes?
Barrels?
Stocks?
Bi-pods?
etc.

Box magazines.

You can have:

gearboxes
Barrels
Magazines
bipods
Stocks
Batteries
Scope rails etc
assorted 'non gun' looking items.

You can't have:

receivers
Scopes

It seems that it would be a mission, but it would be possible to get all the internals and maybe the front sections of some of your weapons sent as parts.

Could one of you help me look through the Korean sites here and see if we cannot find someone who sells the receivers for the A&K M249? Or any compatible receiver for that matter. I do prefer metal of course but all is good.

The M249 is not very popular here for its weight and the Chinese clones aren't held in high regard at some sites, either. I have not seen the receiver at any site. You can, however, find the Mk46 rail system, M4 style stock and fluted barrel.

mtom has everything from stocks, heat shields, and feed trays listed.

No receiver itself but just about everything else including outer barrel assemblies.

Surely a receiver must be sold somewhere. *searches*

Found.

M249 Receiver (http://cybermaniaclub.com/front/php/product.php?product_no=2278&main_cate_no=53&display_group=1)

For like $200 and my own parts I could revive my 249 here in Korea. ^_^

Glorious.

hey, wanted to clarify something since I recently began ordering from redwolf.

no optics can be shipped into the country via regular courier? or is it no magnified optics? regular red-dots can get in? Anyone have some clear info on that?

magnified optics. Red dots are fine.

You can't ship scopes?!!? Well...that's another box that's going back soon. I had 1-4x sent with a bunch of other stuff and now I'm gonna have to do the 3-week waiting game to get the rest sent again, after removing my "evil" scope! Geez, and I thought California was retarded!

Anything else I can't ship?

upper receivers, anything that looks like a complete gun. Its easier to say what does ship...

Parts (gearboxes, barrels, mags, etc)
Vests, unforms, holsters etc
bbs, magazines (box mags as well)
NON MAGNIFIED scopes

The things that don't ship as far as I know

Whole guns (tax issues... legal otherwise)
Magnified rifle scopes (you might kill someone with your airsoft sniper... go figure)
Any 'toy' pistols that aren't shooting sub 100fps...
Full metal receivers (guess they look to much like a real gun?)

whats wrong with california:p? where else are you required to purchase a post ban AR that has a fixed magazine that needs to be loaded from the ejection port? I'm gonna move to Arizona or Neveda where they let you shoot almost anything:D

I used to live in the People's Republic of Kalifornia (PRK). Now I live in Texas. If not for the unconscionable latitude and powers and given to HOAs it would be great. I just sent in my Form 4 to get an AAC M4-2000 suppressor. I hope to have that soon but not in Korea, of course.

With the X-raying, probably not.

So, if I'm looking to get some 203 shells, they won't get through customs right? I'm trying to decide where to order from. any recommendations of brand of shells? not looking for too high a capacity, probably less than 100rnds

look for the pro arms pom shells they are made of delrin plastic so they are less likely to be detected
