In the last game, I notice that my goggle block me from being able to peek through the iron sight.

Is there anyway to get around this problem ?

I can get a mount riser for the rear sight. But what about the front sight? Do I have to get it replaced as well? I do not see a lot of option for the front sight that will be high enough to be compatible with the raised rear sight.

I searched the internet and find that the problem is not unique to me. A lot of other people also have similar problems. Solutions posted out there are :
1. Replace the goggle with something slimmer.
2. Get a mount riser AND a scope.

Well, I like my goggle now, and do not like optical scope.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Cheers.

Use burst aiming? There really is no answer to that problem. I use a red dot scope as it sits perfectly for use with goggles or a mask.

That's why I use dot sights on my guns. the iron sights are too low for my mask. I'd suggest doing the same.

If you raise your sights too much you will encounter a parallax problem especially given the flight path of a bb. You may need to adjust the way you hold your replica or the way you place your face against it.

If I use the red dot, do I need to get the mount riser as well? My AEG is M4 with crane stock.

But what about the real soldier/swat personnel in the field with their real M4 rifle ? They used goggle and sometimes gas mask, and I did not see red dot scope mount on it. If practice is all one need, I should do that. M4 rifle just does not seem to match with a red dot scope, personal taste.

Also, if you have suggestion about where to buy (inside or outside Korea) or what to get, that will be great.

The ranges on airsoft are so short and the bb does not have a standard ballistics path so I find parallax isn't much of an airsoft. I do find I do much better when I use optics rather than follow the bbs though.

My batteries were dead last game so I just used bbs to aim like Phoenix does. I found I missed a lot more in the first vital shots. I would also have to shoot a stream of bbs to aim where with optics I would only need a few to hit. Also, when I did hit right off the bat my 'aiming stream' saturated the target pretty well.

But really it's a matter of personal taste, some people use scopes, some dot sights, some, iron sights, and some just the bbs. Try some different guns and see what works for you.

Thank you for the replies. It helps a lot.

For the time being, I will try to make the best out of the available aim device,i.e.: the iron sight. I personally like to aim before I shoot. If iron sight fails me, I guess I will have to get the dot sight.

I'll lend you a dot or a reflex sight to try next game.

I know this was posted a while ago but with me exp in law enforcement we were trained NOT to use the sights. I come into a room/around a couner and I got you at gun point its not the sight I looking at, infact my weapon is between my eyes, both eyes open and fixed you the perp(not tunnel vision) and aware of whats around me. But if I need to (thank good I didnt) I would just put 2-3 rounds in centermass and keep moving. Swat is the same way, but they have there fancy reflex and visable lasers.

As for my Military exp when I have to do the CBRN shoot in my gas mask I couldn't see/hit crap. So I would walk my tracers to target and when I got them where I wanted them I would lock my weapon under my arm pit and other hand bracing the front grip down hard on the sand bag and I would get nice chest shots each time.

And in airsoft if I dont have a reflex sight (and some times when I do) I just walk my bbs to target.

Thanks for the information, Peter.

So in close range, we should not use the aiming devices help. Is there any particular tips on how to improve my shooting without have to use the sight?

I mean how you were trained? Any particular set up?

In the game, the first few shot is really critical. If I fail to hit him at the first few shot, he will take cover.
