Few days ago I decided to upgrade my TM MP5K.
Before upgrade it was shooting around 220fps. I changed some internal parts.
changed:
piston
piston head
spring (ms 110)
sector gear
bevel gear
hop-up rubber
after that it shooting at 260-270fps. I tried lower spring (ms 100) and it didn't work at all (still shoot 220fps). I don't have any idea why it is shooting much less than 300fps with ms110 spring.
Does anyone has any idea why ???

actually I brought it to guy who works in http://www.cybermaniaclub.com/. He opened it and said it just need to change only 2 springs, piston and so on. he also cleaned inner barrel with silicon oil. Do you think it would be a sealing nozzle???
Anyway. I'll bring it on next game and you can bring home and see more. The mechbox comes apart like this but it is more easy I think. I watched http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5C7NRSMtXk this link for review.

The barrel could have been the problem. That or the hopup. I've had a gun shoot 40fps slower because the barrel was dirty. Don't be too effective in your repairs or you will find that a 110 spring shoots at 320-330fps and thus your gun is out of the game :P

Yeah. I didn't wanted to go over 300 but even with sp100 spring it was shooting 220 (no change at all). I am thinking about changing hopup, nozzle and inner barrel too.

What version mechbox? replacing the selector plate is really easy for the v2/v3. You just need to make sure that the problem isn't with the selector lever and spring. I fixed that on frankengun by simply replacing the spring with one I had in the parts bin.
If the problem lies with the selector on the gun itself the only way to fix it is to get a new grip and selector. Not easy to source.

Here it is! It is the same as the Echo-1 MOD5K. I don't know where in Korea to get it but here is one from the States. If some one has and APO address they can have if for you in about 7-10 days. Shipping is around $10 through USPS.

I can try order if for you if they will accept my Korean address.
*Update, they will email me a shipping quote, I'll post it here later and finalize the order if it's an acceptable cost to you.
** Update, it appears they processed the order without giving me a shipping quote or charging for shipping, I confused. I'll post back when I know more.
*** Called them, they said they would Email me a shipping quote tomorrow, but they can ship it here.

My MP5K PDW is not working again. Rob, it wasn't battery... haha. when I got home it didnl't work, so tried my G36C battery... nothing happened. I really don't have idea. well... it sometimes works fine ... but sometimes ... CRAPP.
Maybe, its better to go to 2roy after I got selector switch. haha

If the switch is a problem you can always lock the selector plate into auto with a little black tape. It will ensure the gun shoots until you can get it fixed properly.
