Pros
Much more solid than other offerings
Big, easy-to-read screen
Uses AAA batteries instead of a power cord
Has an adaptor for a camera tripod mount
Cons
Expensive (USD 100)
Limited velocity range (up to 160mps)
Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF)
The XCorTech X3200 Chronometer is a great chronometer that is accurate and very easy to use. It comes with some extra features that set it apart from other similar products.
Review
The XCorTech X3200 Chronometer is a well built chronometer that can measure velocities up to 160mps. It comes with an aluminum hood that screws into the front of the chronometer and provides shade for the measuring devices as well as a reference point so operators can place the muzzle of the weapon being tested in the correct position. The LCD screen has large numbers that are easy to read and the menu system is very well done. The XCorTech X3200 Chronometer is much better than the Big Dragon chronometer I have as it gives far fewer errors whether used indoors or out, but it costs twice as much. One major issue is the limited velocity range. The manual indicates that the maximum velocity that can be measured is either 450fps or 160mps. These velocities do not match each other when converted and I have nothing that shoots fast enough to verify this claim. The XCorTech X3200 Chronometer will also display the energy of each shot based upon the user's input of the bb weight. It will also display the amount of energy imparted to a surface if the user selects 6mm or 8mm bbs.
